Our house is a typical Provencal "Cabanon" with thick traditional stone walls which ensure a pleasant, cool temperature in the summer heat. The Cabanon is over 100 years old and originally served as a shepherd's hut. Rebuilt with love, it offers an oasis of wellbeing in the middle of lavender fields.
"Ville Verte" is a simple but cozy house that is operated completely off-the-grid. Electricity and hot water are produced using solar energy and our water comes either from the sky (rain) or from our source.( and is of course filtered several times)
These are also the reasons why we do not have a swimming pool and are always very careful with our water consumption.
There is enough electricity, but we have to do without large consumers such as coffee machines and hairdryers.
There is also no television.
For this, our guests are rewarded with beautiful nature and relaxing tranquility.
Our Cabanon is surrounded by a plot of 2800 m2 with olive-, cherry-, almond- and fig trees. On the southern end you find a small shady pine grove with a fantastic view of the Mondenier mountain range.
All of this is surrounded by lavender fields which usually bloom between mid-June and mid-July.
"Ville Verte" is not for the luxury tourist, but rather for people who are looking for nature, peace and relaxation and maybe enjoy
sitting in the shade with a glass of rose listening to the cicadas.
Our Cabanon is the ideal place to slow down........
.......be it for families, romantics, hikers, mountain bikers, motorcyclists or nature lovers
